Sono rimasto favorevolmente impressionato da questi soggetti e quindi volevo fare una piccola recensione.
In the last few days I received from my friend Radek Pituch of Rado miniatures (recent brand specialized in 1/35 scale figures of the WWII), one of the latest news: the two figures "British 8th Army, Italy 1943-45".I was impressed by these subjects, so I wanted to do a little review.
Le due figure si presentano molto bene già dal packaging. La scatola di cartoncino nero è in realtà un involucro esterno, perché dopo averla aperta troviamo un'altra confezione in PVC trasparente.
Sul fronte un'immagine a colori della box art con le informazioni principali e dentro i kit suddivisi in bustine trasparenti.
Fino ad oggi avevo visto queste figure solo in foto, ma ora mentre ho modo di valutarle in diretta, posso dire che dal vivo sono veramente ottime.
The two figures are very well presented by the packaging. The black cardboard box is actually an outer casing, because after opening it we find another transparent PVC box.On the front a color image of the box art with the main information and inside the kits divided into transparent bags.Until now I had seen these figures only in photos, but now while I have the opportunity to evaluate them live, I can say that live are really good.
Le figure sono in scala 1/35.
Ottima qualità del modellato e delle proporzioni, pose molto naturali e panneggi convincenti sono il punto di forza di questi due soggetti. Il primo soldato proteso in avanti come se stesse valutando da vicino una situazione, e l'altro in piedi con posa rilassata mentre tiene in mano un grosso martello o un badile (abbiamo a disposizione due opzioni).
Per ogni figura abbiamo a disposizione due teste. Una con elmetto Brodie e l'altra con berretto.
I visi sono carini e con un buon lavoro di pittura possiamo farli rendere al meglio sotto il profilo dell'espressione.
Le stampate sono molto pulite senza brutture e ritiri, di una resina grigia dall'ottimo dettaglio.
Per finire abbiamo un piccolo foglio decals con stemmi e gradi di varie unità operative, e un foglio in fotoincisione che riproduce i badges da apporre sui berretti a seconda di quale unità vogliamo rappresentare.
The figures are in 1/35 scale.Excellent quality of the modeled and of the proportions, very natural poses and convincing drapes are the strength of these two subjects. The first soldier leaning forward as if he were evaluating a situation closely, and the other standing up relaxed while holding a large hammer or shovel (we have two options).For each figure we have two heads available. One with a Brodie helmet and the other with beret.The faces are nice and with a good job of painting we can make them better under the profile of the expression.The prints are very clean without ugliness and shrinkage, a gray resin with excellent detail.Finally we have a small decals sheet with crests and grades of various operating units, and a photoengraving sheet which reproduces beret badges always for various units within the British 8th Army.
I due soldati britannici del'8th armata sono raffigurati durante la campagna in Italia del 1943/45, ma con le dovute verifiche documentate e magari qualche piccola modifica, ritengo possano essere usati anche in altri teatri operativi del secondo conflitto mondiale.
The two British soldiers of the 8th army are depicted during the campaign in Italy of 1943/45, but with the necessary documented verifications and maybe some minor modifications, I believe they can be used in other theaters of the Second World War.
Devo dire che sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso dalla qualità generale dei soldatini della Rado miniatures, ottimi modelli con grande attenzione ai dettagli, che pongono il marchio già da ora al vertice nel settore per la qualità espressa.
Niente è lasciato al caso, e quindi posso dire che l'amico Radek ha fatto veramente un ottimo lavoro.
Ora non mi resta che aprire qualcuno dei miei libri, studiare qualche soggetto interessante o un particolare accaduto che accenda la scintilla, e iniziare con il divertimento! ☺

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the general quality of the soldiers of Rado miniatures, excellent models with great attention to detail, which put the brand already at the top in the sector for the quality expressed.Nothing is left to chance, so I can say that my friend Radek did a really good job.Now I just have to open some of my books, study some interesting subject or a particular event that ignites the spark, and start with the fun! ☺
